The Mystery: The Cost of a Winning Ticket
The case begins when an old friend of Dr. Watson comes to Baker Street with a terrifying story. He and two other men had purchased a lottery ticket and split it into three pieces to ensure that all must be present to collect the winnings. However, once the ticket becomes a winner, his partners start turning up dead.
Sherlock Holmes must use his deductive skills to track down the third piece of the ticket and outwit a murderer who is determined to keep the entire jackpot for himself. This episode is a fantastic look at how Holmes handles crimes of pure desperation and greed.
